What Comes Next

To prepare for the next level, Daisy Girl Scouts will need to learn about Brownie Girl Scouting.  Brownie Girl Scouts and their leader, would be very helpful in this process.  Bridging activities allow girls to sample some of what the next age group does.

Bridging ceremonies typically take place toward the end of the school year and they are easily combined with a Court of Awards ceremony.

Information on Bridges:

A bridge can be constructed out of many things.  As the girls bridge from one level of Girl Scouting to another, it is important to symbolize this crossing.  For this reason a bridge is constructed to literally show the girls crossing over from one place to another.  Here are some ideas that can be used: an outdoor bridge, stepping stones, real or made of cardboard, and arch made of colored paper or other supplies, a table turned upside down with crepe paper woven through the legs.  You can be creative with the construction of your bridge, and the girls can help!

**Wooden bridges are available to borrow from the Service Centers.
